The Scientific Merit Award is given by a jury to the film that exemplifies science in storytelling and narrative filmmaking in a compelling, credible and inspiring manner.
The video features some fantastic images and video footage of squid development, which are from the MLB Embryology Course 2007-2016. Thanks as well to the students in Embryology: Concepts & Techniques in Modern Developmental Biology.
