Arnaud is interested in the use of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in non-conventional model organisms. His work in the lab has been focusing on the generation of mosaic mutants bearing modifications in important developmental genes, with a focus on the role of Hox genes in the limb specification of Parhyale hawaiensis, and on signaling molecules involved in pattern formation in butterfly wings.
Arnaud will start his own lab as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the George Washington University.
