Kyle joined the lab through the Integrative Biology department in Fall 2016 after graduating with a B.S. in Entomology from Cornell University. Previously, he worked with Dr. Robert Reed (Cornell EEB) to unravel the genetics of ommochrome pigmentation in butterflies and Drs. David Grimaldi and Steve Davis (AMNH IZ) to investigate the evolution of cuticular outgrowths in weevils and other insects. His primary interest is in utilizing development to study patterns of homoplasy.
